Travel tips
The drive from Brisbane Airport to Kangaroo Point takes about 25 minutes on average. However, that varies considerably depending on traffic conditions, and also on the route take. You can rest assured that our drivers are professionals with an abundance of local knowledge, so whichever route you take will be the most direct possible. Still, there are times where roadworks or congestion may cause minor delays. When that happens, the trip normally takes about 28 minutes or so. If there’s not much traffic around, and the roads are clear, the trip from Brisbane Airport to Kangaroo Point can take as few as 20 minutes. We would recommend allowing half an hour to get between Brisbane Airport and Kangaroo Point, just to be on the safe side. If you have appointments or reservations that you need to make, you may benefit from booking flights outside of peak times where possible.
Getting around the airport
Brisbane Airport is well known for being easy to navigate. It’s well signed, and there’s no shortage of friendly staff to direct you to where you need to be. Getting from your gate to the arrivals hall is simply a matter of following the signs. When you get there, the baggage drop location for your flight will be displayed on a screen above the conveyor belt. At both terminals, there are kerbside collection and drop off spaces directly adjacent to the airport, which means that your limousine will be ready and waiting nearby. All you need to do is wait for your luggage! In the international terminal, the arrivals hall and departures hall are split into two levels, so you need to ensure that you’re at the right level to find your chauffeur. When you’re departing Brisbane, you can enjoy a wide range of transit facilities, shopping, and dining opportunities, so don’t be afraid to get there a little early.
Kangaroo Point
Kangaroo Point is an iconic Brisbane suburb overlooking the Brisbane River and the skyscrapers of the CBD. It boasts some of the best views in Brisbane, and it’s only a short walk across the Story Bridge into the city. Alternatively, the suburbs of Southbank and Woolloongabba site either side and offer plenty in the way of attractions in their own rights. At the bottom of the famous Kangaroo Point Cliffs, there’s an elongated park with cycling, rock climbing, walking, and even kayak hire facilities. Along the walking path, you can travel beneath the Captain Cook Bridge and into Southbank, where the Goodwill Bridge will take your directly into the city through the Gardens Point campus of Queensland University of Technology. Along Main Street in Kangaroo Point, you can enjoy a range of dining options, as well as bars, and pubs. To see it all, and more, you’ll need reliable transport.
