Gold Coast airport information
When you land at the Gold Coast airport, you will be happy to notice that it is a rather small airport with only one terminal operating for both national and international flights. The flight companies who fly into this airport are Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Australia, Air New Zealand, AirAsia X and Scoot.
You shouldn’t be fooled by the size of the Gold Coast airport, as it has a lot to offer. It provides excellent facilities whilst in transit with shopping, pharmacy, baggage storage, lockers, foreign exchange, restaurants and cafes. For international travellers, there is Tax & Duty-Free shopping available at the terminal, you can find more information about this here.
Furthermore, there is free Wi-Fi functioning all over the airport, which means you can DM your friends and post on your story about your arrival in the ‘Sunshine State’.
If you are just in transit, the Virgin Australia lounge is only a step away for Velocity Platinum, Gold and partner airline reciprocal status members at Gates 1 & 2. Here you will be able to make the most of a Luke Mangan designed buffet menu, all day barista coffee, premium wines and beer selection (after 11:00am), Wi-Fi, business services, bathroom and shower facilities, news and entertainment.
On the other hand, if the Gold Coast is your final destination, there are a number of parking options with 4 different car parks and over 2000 spaces including Premium Covered Parking being the closest; Short Term Terminal Parking for under 8 hours and Long-Term Parking which you can book online for discounted prices. If you are being picked-up or dropped off though, there is a 1-hour free parking in any Long-Term Car Park, a drop-off area where you can ay 10$ for 4 hours in the Long Term Car Park, and finally the simple Express and Drop-Off area at T2 for a maximum of 5 minutes.
